The SCMHRD Infrastructure Committee is the flagbearer for industry-focused infrastructure events at the SCMHRD campus and has hosted many events such as ‘InfraCon’ and ‘InfraBlaze’ in the past, which had the honour of hosting dignitaries such as Shri. Amitabh Kant (Ex-CEO NITI Aayog), Shri. Nitin Gadkari (Union Minister, MoRTH and Shipping), Shri. Anil Swarup (Ex-Secretary, Ministry of Coal), Shri. Rajeev Mehrotra (Ex-Chairman, RITES), Shri. S. B. Nayar (Ex-Chairman, IIFCL), Shri. Shekhar Singh (Municipal Commissioner PCMC and CEO PCMC Smart City Limited) and many others.

The committee adheres to its belief that observations hold greater value than relying solely on books and experiences are more influential for individuals when it comes to educating oneself. The committee emphasises that the integration of knowledge and skills with practical experiences is crucial for effective learning. The Committee actively involves the batch in a range of grooming activities through the organization of experiential learning sessions, discussions on case studies, and engaging alumni sessions.

The committee also provides the batch with the opportunity to visit various sites. Recently, the batch had the chance to visit the Pune Metro site, where they gained firsthand experience and knowledge about the operational and underground construction aspects of the Pune Metro project. The committee also arranged for the students to participate in significant national events. Most recently, the students attended the Jan Bhagidari Events of the G20 Summit on Urban Infrastructure.

It is an annual flagship summit that aims to gather policymakers, government leaders, and industry experts at SCMHRD, providing a common platform to discuss the current issues and challenges in the infrastructure sector. The summit facilitates the exchange of practical insights, understandings, and experiences on relevant topics, benefiting the students.

LEAdx

It is an industry-academia interaction series. It aims to impart leadership qualities to postgraduate students by bringing leadership thoughts and experiences from boardrooms to classrooms.

i-Emergence

The act of sharing personal life experiences always brings substantial value to the leaders of tomorrow. This event, in the form of an alumni panel discussion, strives to provide students with the essential skills required for success in the ever-changing corporate realm, amidst a dynamic business environment.

InFocus

InFocus serves as a valuable internship diary for the batch. Its purpose is to provide guidance to current batch students in their upcoming internships by sharing insights and information gathered from the experiences of past interns. This resource aids students in surpassing their perceived limits of knowledge and capabilities during their internships.
