The emphasis at SCMHRD is on self-study and collaboration, which allows students to explore and maximize their intellectual potential.

Self-learning

A one-credit course is a minimum of 100 hours of work. If a professor is teaching a one-credit course, he or she will typically teach for 30 hours and give 70 hours worth of self-study across the entire semester.

Learning Teams

Students are assigned to learning teams comprising of five to six peers. The learning team meets daily to analyze cases, solve problems and work on homework assignments. This helps students to manage their workload as well as gain first-hand experience in building effective teams.
