Introduction |

Established in 1993, as a part of the Symbiosis family, Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development has strived to bring Indian ethos, management concepts and technological advances together in an effort to redefine the management paradigm in the new age. Recognized as a Cradle of Intellect, SCMHRD has chartered a course of evolving as a knowledge and value creation institute. We work on the platform of Leadership Entrepreneurship, and have shifted to Self Learning platform.
Our aim is to satisfy your thirst for knowledge. Our permanent faculty will partner with you for the basic theory, fundamentals and developments. Our visiting faculty will share their experience and advanced learning concept. We create an environment where you are inspired to learn, since we wish to move away from teaching. We shall make you learn. We believe in helping students become effective leaders, who can achieve results that have the potential to transform organizations. We work towards developing a global mindset, so that future managers can address the challenges of global competition.
Technologies like SAP, Oracle etc. will make you a platform user. Our non-academics will create values in you; ensuring you work from a platform of "Discipline", making you very humble and accessible, and our social activities will create a sense of belonging in you. You will have a tough time here but you will also have fun and remember the institute all through your life

- The library is equipped with "LIB. Suite - Library Software". It has an e-learning facility and is home to around 20,000 books, CDs, journals and magazines
- The reading room facilitates quiet self-study
- The classrooms are computerized with Internet and LCD-projection facilities
- There is a separate space for group work with independent audio visual equipment
- The computer lab has 150 computers which are networked and also have Internet access
- A SAP Lab, where the students learn ‘My SAP Business Suite’, is also available

Facilities on Campus |
Hostels
Residential facilities for all the students. Each room has an attached bathroom with all the modern amenities. Separate accommodation is available for male and female students. Cafeteria & Mess
A multi cuisine and fast-food cafeteria caters to the needs and tastes of the cosmopolitan student community. The mess serves hot and nutritious meals and has a capacity to host 500 students. Gymnasium / Aerobics / Yoga
The campus has a state-of-the-art gymnasium, equipped with the latest workout machines of international standards. The institute also has Yoga and Aerobics classes on campus. Qualified instructors are present to help the students reap the maximum benefit out of these holistic development activities.
Swimming Pool
The campus has a well-maintained swimming pool, with trained professionals in- charge. Coaching facilities are also available.
Auditorium
The campus has a modern auditorium for national, international seminars & campus events.
Health Care
Excellent Health Care and Medical Facilities are available on campus. The Symbiosis Institute of Health Sciences (SIHS) runs a state-of-the-art health care centre on the campus. The centre can arrange for expert attention and consultants as required. Every student is insured under the Mediclaim & Road Traffic Accident Policy. Qualified instructors are available on campus for health activities, which forms a part of all round development of the individual. |

Eligibility |
|
- A graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks at graduation level.
- Candidates passing degree examination by part time / correspondence course are not eligible.
- Students in the final year of graduation can apply but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% aggregate mark.
- Diploma holders cannot apply. |

What is the basis on which SCMHRD gives calls to candidates? |
|
SCMHRD has a unique method of selecting candidates for GD/PI. We follow a system called as Selective Meriting, where apart from the SNAP score, we give weightages to past academic performances, work-experience (if any), professional and other qualifications, extra-curricular performances etc. In general, the entire profile of the candidate is considerd before giving a GD/PI call. |

Cancellation Policy: |
If a student cancels admission before the program commences entire fees would be refunded after deducting administrative charges of Rs. 1000. If a student cancels admission after commencement of the program and the vacency is not filled by any other candidate, no fees other than security deposit shall be refunded. No refund of fees for cancellation of admission after a month of the start of the course.
If any student is found taking admission of self or of others by fraudulant means the admission will be cancelled by the institute.
All disputes will be settled and resolved by arbitration

a) If paid annual fees deduct 1/12th of the fees paid & refund the balance amount.
b) If the fees are paid for 1st term only, deduct 1/6th of the fees paid & refund the balance amount. |

In case the student fails to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria of SIU the admission shall be terminated by the institute and the Symbiosis International University and a refund as follows shall be given:
a) 10% of fees (excluding deposit) shall be deducted as administrative charges.
b) The Mess and Hostel fees for your stay at Symbiosis campus shall be deducted on prorata basis.
c) The balance amount after the deduction in a) and b) shall be refunded.
Procedure for Refund
Candidates cancelling admission and eligible for refund have to fill-in a refund form which has to be duly approved by the Director. Subject to Director's approval, the refund will be granted in 25 days.
Note:
Pre-Induction Course Fee (Rs. 25,000/-) will not be refunded under any circumstances once admission is obtained.

International Students
|
Admissions of all International students are done through The International Office of Symbiosis. To check if you are an international student, refer to the categories listed below. Postgraduate Level
Categories under International Students Admissions:
- As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Foreign National (FN) if you hold a Foreign Passport.
- As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Person of Indian Origin (PIO) if you have a PIO card, and are a citizen of a country other than India.
- As an international student, you are eligible to apply as a Non Resident Indian (NRI) if you have appeared for your 10+2 examination outside India, and have appeared for your graduation either in India or outside India.

Note:
- SCMHRD reserves the right to make changes and corrections in the admission program, process, evaluation and any other information mentioned in the prospectus at a later stage. Such information would however be available on SCMHRD's website www.scmhrd.edu and candidates should refer to the same from time-to-time.
- The application form should be filled online; candidates would be informed online regarding the status of their application and would also be informed by email.
- Open category candidates do not have to send any copy of their application form or resume or any other documents to the institute unless asked for.

A student aspiring to pursue a postgraduate program at SCMHRD can purchase the admission prospectus for Rs. 1250/-
By applying for the prospectus online using credit card / debit card on our website www.scmhrd.edu or from the SNAP website www.snaptest.org (From 10th November, 2008)
OR
For Rs.1300/- by any of the following methods:
By sending us a Draft amounting to Rs.1300/- in favour of "Director, Symbiosis Centre for Mgmt. & HRD", payable at Pune, along with your name, address, phone number and e-mail id.
By purchasing the prospectus from Axis Bank(From 15th November, 2008)
By purchasing the prospectus over the counter at SCMHRD (From 15th November, 2008)
3.After purchasing the admissions brochure, the candidates need to fill an online application form at www.scmhrd.edu.
Procedure to pay online through credit/debit cards:
1. Choose the card type: visa/master card
2. Enter the 16 digit card number
3. Enter the expiry date of the card
4. Enter the 3 digit security code found at the back of the card (the CVV number)
NOTE: The above procedure is same for credit cards and debit cards both. However, older debit cards which do not have the 3 digit code will not work here.
