Admissions to MBA
A fresher on course to graduation or an experienced with 2 to 3 years in the industry is an ideal candidate to apply to our two year residential Master in Business Administration (MBA) program. Our MBA program offers specialization on Marketing, Finance, HR, Operations and Infrastructure Management. Infrastructure Management specialization is offered through a separate degree which we call MBA (IM). Contrary to popular misconception, all our specializations are well received by the student community and well endorsed by the corporate; the fact that several corporate visit our campus to recruit our students across specialization. Some students might falsely believe the characters HR in our name SCMHRD to be specialization or functional area which as a matter of fact is not the case. It simply signifies development of Human Recourses as in Human Capital.

Admissions to our MBA and MBA (IM) program are conducted through a common entrance test known as Symbiosis National Aptitude Test or SNAP Test. The test is conducted by the Symbiosis International University and is the common and mandatory test for any candidate willing to apply to any full-time post-graduate program offered by Symbiosis International University. After conduction of the test and declaration of results, SCMHRD comes up with a list of candidates to be called on campus for a selection process. We typically call appx. 10% of candidates who apply to our programs. The basis for this call is the SNAP test scores. We do not consider sectional scores or percentages but only consider the percentiles score of a candidate. Our selection process would typically consist of a group activity or a group task followed by a personal interview.
Upon completion of the selection process, SCMHRD compiles the scores and comes up with a merit list offering merit candidates to accept the admissions offer and pay the first installment of the course fee. Reservation for seats are applied as per SIU’s guidelines.

Admissions to MBA (Executive Education)
MBA (Executive Education) is a program specially designed for working professionals in and around Pune. Executive Education programs are designed to help experienced executives and senior managers advance to the next stage of their career, guide their business through specific challenges, and become more effective leaders. Participants can expect a carefully integrated mix of lectures, presentations, business simulations, small group discussions, and the case-study method of learning. The usual class size is 60 to 70 students. Classes are conducted on weekends and on an average a sutdent spends 14 hours a week on campus.

Admissions Office, SCMHRD manages admissions to all its programs and is a busy office throughout the year. SCMHRD has one of the highest applications to student ratio for our MBA program in Indian B-School arena and our selection process is rated as one of the best in the country by the student community. Our mission at the admissions office is to attract the best talent in the country and provide a level playing field to all our applicants for the best talent to perform in our selection process and be selected. After the recently published survey by Business Today - Nielsen in which SCMHRD has been ranked the 12th best B-School in India, we have not only become the preferred choice by students planning to undertake business education , but have become a prime destination in Pune for Executive Business education and a source of resource for our various Diploma programs.
