The Finance Club of SCMHRD is a student initiative which started in 2005. The club was formed with an objective of sharing knowledge and information about the financial sector and bringing about active participation.
The members of the club bring out a "Knowledge Series" which equips laymen to understand basic financial terms.
The club publishes a bi-monthly magazine "Finalyst" which tries to encompass the latest issues that impact financial markets. Articles are written by students and eminent corporate personnel's.
The club also organizes seminars all round the year. The Banking Conclave being the biggest annual summit organized. This event is an amalgam of panel discussions on recent developments in the banking sector with cross views on undercurrents that will spark the paradigm shift in the financial industry. Banking Conclave '07 was held at The Grand Intercontinental, Mumbai on the 3rd of February 2007. The day long event comprised of panel discussions on the topics Microfinance and Basel II Norms.
